Eco-friendly product

Aqueous

We have been carrying out a research to develop PUD (polyurethane dispersion) with excellent physical properties equivalent to the existing solvent-type polyurethane s used for dry coating, screen printing, spray coating, adhesives, etc.

Natural

We have been taking the leading role in cutting down PDS through research on polyurethane resin made of natural substances.

Solvent-free releasing agent

Sambu Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. was the first in the world to have developed an aqueous releasing agent that was first applied to the footwear. As such, we have been implementing research on aqueous emulsion for insole, midsole, outsole, etc.

Eco-friendly cleaning agent

We have been carrying out research on eco-friendly products, such as aqueous detergent, that can replace the existing cleaning agent with toxic chemicals such as MEK, DMF, toluene, etc.

PU Foam

PU Foam

We strive to make shoes more comfortable by developing softer and lighter PU foam used for the upper and lining of shoes.
We always exert our best efforts into customer satisfaction through research on highly resilient sock-liner insole foam and compressed-molding PU foam for midsoles to ensure the best performance.

Analysis Team

Spectroscopy

- FT-IR: It is possible to identify the chemical structure of each sample substance as it absorbs different infrared frequencies. Therefore, FT-IR can identify a high or low molecular sample, or provide a functional group analysis for organic/inorganic compounds and analysis on substances of a sample.
- Spectrophotometer: As a color measurement device, it measures the color of a sample and draws chromaticity coordinates. It also compares the differences in colors between samples such as reflexibility, transmissivity, brightness, chroma, etc.

Chromatography

- GPC: It measures the molecular weight of a sample and the distribution of molecule weight.
- GC: It identifies the volatile substance included in a sample.

Microscopy

- Optical microscope: It magnifies the image of small parts of a sample to offer better vision for the surfaces and sides of a solid material. It is used to compare solid powder and liquid emulsion samples in terms of state and size.

Thermal Analysis

- DSC: It identifies the physical/chemical properties of a sample, such as glass transition temperature, melting point, melting heat, degree of crystallization, thermal degradation, etc. based on the thermal flow (absorption or discharge) when a sample is heated or cooled off.

DMA

It identifies elasticity and viscosity, such as viscoelasticity, glass transition temperature, viscoelasticity by temperature, stress-strain, etc., for high molecular samples—bar, film, fiber, etc.—by causing vibrations with a specific wavelength to a sample and measuring the waveform returned.

STA

It analyzes DSC and TGA at the same time. It determines the pyrolysis of a sample by measuring the changes in the weight of a sample depending on the time or temperature.
